Let's Get Down To Business

So I've kind of figured out where the view of this blog is from.
Its the story of a 20 year old girl that has just started her own business and trying to figure out the ways of the world.
Well, lets go ahead and do a little "hip, hip, hooray!" for the fact that I've already had to renew my business licence! That was almost too fast! But I guess applying in the middle of the "business year" was kind of silly when I first got it back in January (remember me?). Anyhoo... to comemorate this fine renewal, I'm celebrating in 2 ways! One of which you'll have to wait and see next week...I'm waiting until the actual licence comes in.

As for the other one, I'm wanting a business card update!
I have a SERIOUS obsession with beautiful stationary. Like, I can't go into Hallmark, Staples, TJ Maxx without buying thank you cards and just little note cards! I use them, of course! To mail to my clients after a shoot, but still...it's created a monster! All I want is to have beautiful letter pressed cardstock die cut business cards! But that would run me about $400 for just 300 or so :(

Anyways, check out these beauties that I've been lusting over.

Love the font!

Perfect die cut!

Too incredibly perfect! One of my favorites!

When I worked at a bridal show with Ashley Rhodes Events (remember me?), I saw this girl that did letter press and I grabbed one of her business cards and just swooned over how much I loved it. Goodness gracious. Letter press. YES. The cute skinny business card. YES. The perfect paring of delicate colors. YES. The way the letter press felt under my fingers on such perfect cotton paper. YES YES YES!

I think I have a problem. And I'm doing a lot of recalling old blogs today! Yay!

Well anyways, new business cards will be a go very soon...but probably no letter press or beautiful custom die cut.
Unless you know of a great not so $300 business card place?!

And possibly a new logo?!
Ahhhh hooray for turning a new leaf ;)

I'll be having dinner with all of my mom's side of the family & my sweet boyfriend is coming too! What a great afternoon!

Hope all of you have as wonderful of a day!

My baby loves to fish!

"Early in the morning, in the middle of the night.
She's hooked and she can't get enough.
Man that girl sure likes to fish!"

Boy do I! Yesterday, my best friend Jess & I marked another off the bucket list! (By the way, once the summer is over, you'll have the full list revealed!)
We went deep sea fishing! We were seriously in the middle of the Atlantic ocean with the lines down at the bottom of the ocean. It was a long day with a wake up call at 5 am! We met at the landing at 6:15 and were headed out around 7!

Jessica and I thought we'd be tough and try to ride the waves on the trip out there, but after a few really hard ones, we realized riding in the back of the boat in the comfy bean bag chairs was much smarter! I'm all bruised up today and can hardly move. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Once we made it out, we baited the lines and before all were set, one went to humming! I got up and reeled that baby in! I was so proud to have caught the first fish of the day! He sure was pretty!
We finally made it back in about 6:30 that afternoon and it was such a great day! I definitely want to do that many more times! I have found something I really like to do :)

Jessie riding out!

I'm finally getting a tan :D

No land in sight

Looky at my fishy!

Not to brag, but I did good!

It was bleeding on her foot! Hahah!

Pretty fishy!

Winning!

And the lovely boat that gave us the ride of our lives.

Me, Murray, our captain Scott, and Jess!

"I can't get enough,
Man that girl sure does like to fish."

Off Duty

Whew, what a few months this has been!
I don't know what made me do it, but I took on summer classes and I'm soooo not loving having to learn about bones when instead I could be out in the boat! But tomorrow, I will be confined to doing more anatomy homework! Bleh.

And another crazy thing is how incredibly busy photography has gotten! I figured with wedding season on a hold due to the summer, I thought I'd be slow but as of right now, I'm constantly doing photos! 1 awesome modeling shoot today, a maternity shoot next week and an engagement session next week, scheduling lots of senior shoots! Gracious!

Well today before the modeling shoot, I took some just for fun photos!

Check them out :)

And so it begins...

Hi friends! Happy Monday?!

Haha, well, not so much! Today was the back to reality for me :( I just got home from my fabulous vacation in Myrtle Beach for a week! Whew, I thought a week would be too much, but I'm definitely not looking forward to getting back to classes tomorrow! Oh well, if vacation lasted forever then it wouldn't really be vacation right?

So to entertain myself today while I was avoiding doing work, I decided to join the "30 day photo challenge" on Facebook!

So here is my entry for day 1!

Day 1 - A photo of yourself with 10 facts.

1. Just posted 8 facts and got all ADD and went to a different page...fail.
2. Has 3 sunflowers tattooed on my side because I follow the sun.
3. Self proclaimed photographer and workoholic.
4. Never wants to grow up.
5. Proud of who I am, where I've been, and all that I've done. Good & bad.
6. Has been with the same man for a little over 2 and a half years and wouldn't want to be with anyone else. "I'm your girl & you're my man."
7. I ♥ singing. I've been more willing to sing karaoke now more than ever, and I don't care how I sound.
8. My best friend and I have a bucket list for the summer. Jealous?
9. Animal lover. I just took in a sweet little puppy. She's bad, but I just couldn't let her go to the pound.
10. Food is my friend. I love it all for the most part. Especially paired with a good drink....or good drink minus the food. ;)

Okay, there you go! Short, sweet, and to the point!

Summer Bucket List

Hi friends!

So, my best friend and I created a summer bucket list! That way we could truly have the best summer possible and have things to do other than just going out on the river.

I can't tell you all the details of the bucket list just yet because some of them are pranks and other bad things ;)

But I will tell you what we have completed up to this point!

-Purchasing cowboy boots (well Jess did, I already have some!)
-Skinny dipping
-A frosty frog beach day
-Decorating wine glasses
& a few others.

We've also added a few other exciting things to the list such as
-Going to Ladies Night at a Shooting Range
-Going to a Sand Gnats game

I've always had one thing on my life bucket list and my best friend a while back surprised me with giving me the chance to complete my life bucket list item....
and we're doing it this SUNDAY!

Y'all ready to know what it is?!

We're going to watch my favorite performer in concert this Sunday evening!

Miranda Lambert.

Words cannont express how excited I am! She's beautiful & so talented & real.
So that is now at the very top of our Summer Bucket list :)

Oh it's love,

puppy love ♥

The newest addition to the {daring} family is no other than the sweet little
Lyla

Andrea, my sister, named her. I don't know where on earth it came from or what it means.
All I know is that she was 1 of 9 puppies that Justin had gotten a call about. She and her brothers and sisters were thrown out at cemetery.
I have a huge heart for all animals and when Justin brought her to my house only to tell me that his dad was making him take her to the pound, I burst into tears.
I wouldn't and couldn't let him take such a sweet, helpless puppy away.

Just look at this face:

How can you turn her away?

To add to the list: she's clumsy, she's bad, she's very playful, she slept in the bed with me her first night and only woke up at 4 when Daisy tried to walk into my room. FACT: Lyla was growling at her. Talk about early protector! She's just the sweetest thing in the world.
We take her to the vet on Friday and hopefully find out a little bit more about her.

And that's all about my little pooch!
